Owamagbe Odighizuwa – New York Giants Defensive End
Odighizuwa is considered by NFL draft experts as one of the biggest steals in the 2015 NFL Draft. His stats are not at an elite level, but if you watch his film playing for the UCLA Bruins you can see his dominance. He is an excellent run stopper and never gives up on a play. This guy has determination and great leadership abilities. In order for him to get a serious amount of playing time, he will need to improve his pass rushing abilities. He tallied up only six sacks this past season. The giants need a good edge defender in their 3-4 defensive scheme. He’s going to compete for the defensive end spot, but I think he will be utilized as a first and second down type of player in order to stop the run.
Guy Whimper – Pittsburgh Steelers Offensive Tackle
Guy Whimper was drafted in 2006 by the New York Giants out of East Carolina University. He played four seasons for the Giants before being waved in 2010. Soon after, he was picked up by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He played in Jacksonville for two seasons before being picked up by the Steelers after entering free agency. Whimper is not a consistent starter in the NFL, but he is a solid rotational players. In his eight seasons, he has started less than thirty games but consistently gets playing time. At thirty-one years old he is still playing decently and can still compete on the professional level.
Coco Crisp – Oakland Athletics Outfielder
Originally he was Covelli Loyce Crisp, but after years of being called “Coco” he legally changed his name in 2013. The nickname came from his brother and sister when he was a kid and has stuck with him ever since. Crisp has played on four MLB teams during his time playing professional baseball: The Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, Kansas City Royals, and currently the Oakland Athletics. At thirty-five years old, Crisp is reaching the latter portion of his career. However, it isn’t uncommon for baseball players to play into their forties if they don’t have any serious injuries. There is one thing that baffles me about him; the fact that he isn’t endorsed by Cocoa Krispies.
