Now that it’s December I am coming to all of you with your monthly, “Best Names in Sports”. Let’s get started.
Giannis Antetokounmpo – Shooting Guard, Milwaukee Bucks

Say that name five times fast, or even once would be impressive. His nickname is, “The Greek Freak” because he was drafted out of Greece and can do some incredible things with the ball. Antetokounmpo is only nineteen years old and was drafted to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2013 in the first round. Standing at 6’11” and a wingspan of 7’3″, it is not an easy task to block or disrupt this young shooting guards shot. He is the tallest shooting guard in the NBA by two inches. So far in the 2014 season he is averaging 11.9 points, 1.9 assists, and 5.9 rebounds a game while playing around twenty-five minutes a game. With the height of a center and the ball handling and shooting abilities as a shooting guard, this young Kid is going to be around for a long time. So might as well try to figure out how to pronounce his name.
Tank Davis – OL, Texas A&M

Tank Davis has yet to see action on the field this year for the Aggies for he is a red-shirt freshman. Davis is a 280 pound offensive tackle out of Lakeview Centennial. He also had offers from major division one football schools such as Texas Christian University and Oregon. Davis is yet to show us anything in a game but telling form his name, I think he will do just fine.
Chris Blewitt – K, Pitt

Not the name you want your kicker to have. So much relies on kickers making late game field goals that having that guys name being Blewitt is the definition of irony. Blewitt was actually very stout for the Pittsburg Panthers starting as a true Freshman and scored the most points out of anyone on the team.(eighty-two) In 2014 he has scored eighty-eight points and has been a reliable scoring option for Pitt. He is yet to miss a game winning field goal.
Money Hunter – DB, Arkansas State

Money Hunter is the son of professional baseball player Tori Hunter. Money Hunter is a corner back for the Arkansas state Red Wolves. He gets consistent starting reps even though he is one of the younger players on the team. There is a very small chance that he will play at the next level, but he is a solid player who started five games as a true freshman. If football doesn’t work out he can have a promising future as an accountant.
