2014 1st Round Draft Pick Standouts

Every year teams trade and strategize in order to draft the player that they believe will be most beneficial to their roster.  Three college standouts have made a direct impact on their NFL teams so far this season.

Pick #4 Sammy Watkins- An explosive receiver from out of Clemson and now on the Buffalo Bills, has lit up the field with his speed and great hands.  With a lack of a running game for the Bills this year, Watkins has been a reliable and highly targeted option in the passing game.  Through week seven he has 35 catches for 433 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Pick #17 CJ Mosley- The former member of the Crimson Tide has been absolutely dominant for the Baltimore Ravens. He is number six in the NFL in tackles with 63.  Apart from the abundance of tackles he has also racked up an interception and a forced fumble.  This guy knows where the ball is and has huge potential to be a leader of the Baltimore Raven’s defense.

Pick #28 Kelvin Benjamin- After winning a BCS Nation Championship last year with Florida State, Benjamin has kept his momentum going in Carolina with the Panthers.  Benjamin Is Cam Newton’s favorite target as he has 34 receptions for 477 yards and 5 touchdowns.  With the loss of Steve Smith and others, Benjamin has emerged as a valuable asset for the Carolina Panthers.
