Victor Cruz is undoubtedly out for the rest of the season as he tore his patella tendon in their most recent game against the Eagles.  Cruz was starting to get into his groove while the rest of the Giants’ receiving core has been sub par this season.  The only reliable target for Eli manning is tight end Larry Donnell.  Donnell’s take on the matter is, “You can’t replace a guy like number eighty, but we do have a lot of guys with talent.”  Those guys would be Reuben Randle, who has performed mediocrely this season, Corey Washington, who had a fantastic pre season showing but yet to make an impact in a regular season game, and Odell Beckham Jr, who is one of the best athletes on the field at any given time.  OBJ can make a large contribution to this team with his explosive speed and ability to make a catch in traffic.  He has big play potential every time he goes deep and is always looking for open space.  But, he lacks experience to be a true leader of this offense having only played two games so far due to a nagging hamstring injury.  With Cruz out for the season and Rashad Jennings out for a couple games, Big Blue could be in trouble with this new west coast offense implemented by new OC Ben McAdoo.  Lots of pressure will be put on the shoulders of two rookies, Andre Williams and Beckham Jr.  Thats a scary thought for Giants fans but both have played very well in what time they have been on the field.  It’s never easy to lose a captain like that.  How will this team respond?
